How to Cook Sinigang na Baka
Sinigang na Baka is a tamarind base soup. Like the usual sinigang dish, this recipe use tamarind to make soup sour.

Ingredients
  • 10 cups of water
  • 1 kilo of beef brisket or cut into cubes
  • 1 medium red union, quatered
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 140 grams sinigang mix
  • 1 tablespoon of fish sauce
  • 1 pc. raddish (labanos), thinly sliced
  • 250 grams taro roots (gabi)
  • 2 pcs. green chili (siling pang sigang)
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 bunch of string beans
  • 1 bunch of kangkong

 Instruction
  1. In a large pot boil beef for 5 minutes. Remove the liquid and scum then wash the meat.
  2. Replace the water enough to cover the meat.
  3. Bring to boil until the meat is cooked and tender.
  4. Add tomatoes, unions, black pepper  and gabi. Boil until the gabi is cooked.
  5. Add string beans and radish, simmer until radish is cooked.
  6. Add sinigang mix, kangkong ang green chili.
  7. Season with salt or fish sauce and serve hot.
